Debbie was educated at Wairoa College and Lytton High School followed by a BBS at Massey University. Debbie commenced employment with Brown Webb & Co in Hastings gaining valuable experience in auditing. Debbie returned to Gisborne and commenced with Graham & Dobson in 1983.

Debbie has a mix of clients including many farming and commercial clients and is responsible for human resources at Graham & Dobson. Debbie is a past BOT member of Ormond School and assists various non-profit organisations.

Debbie is married to a local farmer and has three children. Their various interests keep Debbie busy outside of work.
