Here at Graham & Dobson we will make the transition from your previous accountant smooth and hassle free. As we begin this journey, we want to inform you about the steps we take in changing accountants and how we approach our new engagement with you:

We completely take care of this for you by sending your previous accountant an "Ethical Letter".  This is normal procedure within our industry as a matter of professional courtesy.  It has two purposes:

1. To ensure that there is no ethical or professional reason why we should not accept the appointment; and
2. To obtain relevant paperwork and information necessary to start working with you.
   

As your new accountant we will register as your nominated tax agent with the Inland Revenue Department.  If required, we can also be your nominated agent for ACC and the NZ Companies Office.

This will ensure that we are nominated as a point of contact for your business and our address will be listed with these regulatory bodies.

We will also arrange the transfer of your data from any accounting package you use online e.g. Xero, Banklink, MYOB.

As your new accountant we are obliged to send you a 'Letter of Engagement' which sets out the expectations and obligations of both Graham & Dobson and yourself.

Graham & Dobson comprise an extremely dedicated team of qualified accountants who have vast experience across many industries.  We will provide you with timely advice that is beneficial to you and your personal situation.  We have very high professional standards and quality control measures in place to ensure that we always provide you with the best possible service and advice.
